South Dade Connections and KenKac Financial Group Honor Friendship That Gives Executive Director Jonathan L. Dotson for Outstanding Community Leadership
Miami, FL — December 14, 2024 — Friendship That Gives proudly announces that its Executive Director, Jonathan L. Dotson, has been recognized and honored by South Dade Connections and KenKac Financial Group for his impactful and sustained contributions to community service, youth development, and advocacy.
This distinguished recognition celebrates Dotson’s legacy of leadership and service across multiple organizations and initiatives that have strengthened and empowered communities throughout South Florida and beyond.
Dotson’s notable service includes his role as a former Board Member of Kristi House, where he supported efforts to protect and advocate for children affected by abuse. He also served as Past President of the 100 Black Men of South Florida, leading initiatives focused on mentorship, education, and economic empowerment for young men of color.
In addition, Dotson has made a lasting impact as Director of Youth Services at Sweet Home Baptist Church, where he developed and led programs aimed at nurturing youth leadership, character development, and spiritual growth. He is also a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., continuing a legacy of service, scholarship, and leadership.
Under Dotson’s leadership, Friendship That Gives has emerged as a purpose-driven nonprofit dedicated to empowering lives through inspiration, connection, and impact. The organization has placed a strategic focus on education and advocacy surrounding Amyloidosis and Parkinson’s Disease—working to raise awareness, provide resources, and address disparities in underserved communities.
